CGM and air travel

I was just reading about someone traveling by air. In reading the responses, I came up with a question. I have a Medtronic Real-time CGM. y manual says I have to take off the transmitter and turn it off for travel. It seems like others leave it on, which would be much better, since I could keep track of things while in the air. So, my question is, Do I have to take off the transmitter while on a plane, or can I stay connected? Thanks for any help.

The TSA is about to become more "intimate" with you if you have a CGMS or insulin pump

I can’t carry my insulin pump or CGMS through the body scanners at the airport, and now, the TSA is making the pat down process more “intimate”. TSA Warns Local Police About Its New Airport Pat-Downs I hit this new process last week at the Ontario airport. The pat down, which normally only takes a moment, took much longer, and it was indeed more intimate. Anyone know of a group that’s working on this issue for us?
