1.6, yikes!

Why do you take beta blockers?

Do you have high BP?

Nope, no high blood pressure. I have an arrhythmia called SVT, so the beta blocker is to control my heart rate (completely unrelated to diabetes).

3:30 is my magic time for lows. I figured out that I HAVE to eat something before bed in order to stop it. Mine is usually 1 slice of multi with no HFCS peanut butter. The slow burn of the carbs and protein keeps me level all night.

The CGM is what actually helped me discover that trend.

With the pump, I reduce the basal rate as the day progresses. Then at 3 am, I jack it up to stop the dawn phenomenon. It takes an hour for a basal rate change to take effect. 3am seemed very risky for a basal rate increase. But that's what works for me. These rates work okay. Trying to improve them is like polishing cannon balls.

12am 0.15, 3am 0.50, 6am 0.45, 9am 0.40,
12pm 0.35, 3pm 0.30, 6pm 0.25, 9pm 0.20

Jen , ...I felt like experimenting due to my " not nice BG numbers , ie higher than I wanted . Yesterday I put my ( Sure -t ) infusion set in a place never been used for insulin delivery ( very soon to be 30 years ) . Below my left breast , where I could not feel the ribcage . Numbers have been steady , however did put a temp basal of 85 % for 3 hours at 12.15 AM ( 5.7 ) , at 4 AM BG was 8.0 , cancelled the temp basal and corrected , at 8.50 am 5.3 , had breakfast followed by usual walk and had a low at 11 am ..with more work ahead :). Would my experiment be a thought for you too ...just asking ??
