5:15 pm BS Test Day (without diabetes)

1:15-2 pm: Went to the gym; drank Vitamin Water during workout
2:30 pm: BS 168
3:05 pm: Lunch (a little on the late side, frozen Lean Cuisine meal, carrots w/peanut butter)
4:00 pm: BS 162
5:25 pm: BS 113

The first finger I stuck this morning to check BS still hurts (pinky of my left hand), the rest are finally feeling ok.

What else have I learned?

  1. I find myself continually thinking about what/when to eat.

  2. I’m definitely not eating as much as I usually do - probably because I’m posting this and would hate for people to see how much junk I REALLY eat throughout the day. I’ve also made concerted efforts to cut down on my carbs - there’s some need to try to control the BS numbers that’s inherent in this process.

  3. I guess it IS true that exercise raises your BS, at least for a little while.

OK - re: finger pokes. Sloane just told me that I shouldn’t push the lancing device into my finger, I should just lay it on my finger. Should have asked her advice 6 pokes ago.
