That always Amazing to hear. Good for her.

Love these stories. Inspiring!

Yes, and I’ve survived 53 years now with no major damage. It’s become so much easier through those years, particularly since Dr Bernstein started using an early glucose meter and got them into patient’s hands, noot just in doctor’'s offices for them to use occasionally.

Rats, I only made it 49 years before a triple coronary bypass upset my good(lucky) lifestyle and changed things. But my vision has not changed for 20 plus years,I still have all my extremities, my kidneys are still functioning, though they are starting to show some wear and tear, and I am surprised every day that all this hardware (pump & CGMS) that I use replaces a lot of the guesswork of earlier days.

If this is as bad as it gets…bring it on!

Very encouraging. Thank you very much for sharing…

Wonderful and she has a good attitude as well. Thanks for the post.

I’m at 53 years type 1, but only made it about 47 years before my heart started playing games, I admire the discipline it took to go 52 years w/o complications, great job
