A suggestion my pump trainer made to me yesterday about being in hot weather

I am going to Missouri at the end of this month for a week. I know I will be spending a lot of time out doors playing with my nephew in the hot sun. I was discussing this with Kathy and she suggested that I fill my resivour with just enough insulin to get me through the day and before I go to bed, just refill the same resivour with enough insulin for the next day. She said this way I wouldn’t have to worry about the insulin getting to hot and losing its effectiveness. I just thought I would pass this on to other insulin pumpers out there.

In So. Cal, I haven’t had an issue with the weather. I keep my pump in my pouch, a cliip and go.

I live in Phoenix AZ and yesterday we hit 109! I’ve never had a problem with my insulin in my pump going bad. The infusion sets losing their stickiness and starting to slide out, yes, but insulin going bad no.
