A1c >12 GP doesn't show alarm

Well, good news, actually excellent news! my BG dropped to 123 this evening before dinner! I tested twice to be sure…Ok so the metformin is working plus I ate a bunch of celery with a little peanut butter for lunch. I know i still need to work on my a1c but at least I’ve finally drop into a normal BG range, so I know it is possible. Now to just keep it there.

Thanks everyone for your support and information. Sorry Ohio fans, but go tigers (I’m in the South East near Clemson) although both teams played so well that I found myself, at times, rooting for both sides.

Congratulations!!!

Ask to see a certified Diabetes Educator and a dietitian. Many hospitals give classes on diabetes education. Most insurances cover them. Our doctor made my husband go too. I am now at 27 years,A1C was 6.2 last week. Lucky the endo said having no complications. I said not luck, hard work! Best of luck. Nancy50
