A1c didn't drop as much as I wanted

@Luis3 I would tend to agree you represent a success story. It’s no easy feat to keep this condition at bay for 30 years, everybody who knows anything about it will attest to that. Keep riding those miles! You are my inspiration!

@William7 Thanks for the graph, very useful and interesting. At this point I know two things are working for me: my current dose of meds and my diet. I do exercise, mostly for weight control and I recognize it does help with metabolic conditioning. So I guess there is a third factor. Either way, my GP was good with the 4.9 hbA1c reduction from 11.3 to 6.4, keeping in mind I just started the meds 3 months ago. My plan at this point is to keep the downward pressure on my BG without getting into the hypo range, dangerous levels.

I would like to get to a point where I don’t need the meds anymore, I assume that is plausible down the road, obviously with some serious work. One can hope.
