AAT infusion treatments

Has anyone on this forum been treated with AAT? In a clinical trial or off label by a physician?
If so, with what results.
thank you

I see this did not get any responses. I googled it, and it seems to be something they're doing for newly dx'd type1s. anyone know anything about it?

Here is an article on AAT. I didn't get into any research programs after my diagnosis like this I think because my a1c was too good when I stabilized and or due to age restrictions etc. So now it is too late for those earlier treatments for me. This apparently can be used for helping with islet cells and rejection according to this article.

AAT = alpha-1 antitrypsin. According to the link that mee posted, AAT is produced in the liver and helps repair tissue and reduce inflammation. T1Ds do not make AAT.
