Shane is a Type 1 Diabetic and is dedicated to raising money towards finding a cure for Diabetes. His Debut CD is currently being recorded for release nationwide and all the profits from the CD will be going to Diabetes UK towards medical research.You can read more about his mission to raise money at Pop4Diabetes MySpace.
Shane has lots of interviews for magazines coming up soon and already has had two radio interviews broadcast. He has been working with some top musicians including band members from Take Thats current band who have fitted him in around Take Thats recording schedule.
Its been a long road to get to where he is today and a lot of ups and downs, but its all been worth it and whatever happens with the CD Shane has had the most fantastic experience working with the proffessionals and really hopes to raise thousands from the CD for the charity.
Shane has also been promoting the new medtronic insulin pump which he himself now has and it has transformed his life as he no longer needs injections. He was recently on BBC news demonstrating how it works and how his life is now near on normal. He has also being speaking at conferences and hospitals to other young people as he wants to raise awareness of diabetes and show newly diagnosed diabetics that you can still live your life and fulfill your dreams with diabetes and its nothing to be afraid of. He is a true inspiration to others with the condition and proves its possible to lead a normal lifestyle despite the condition.
Shane is a Spotlight registered actor and has appeared on T.V, radio and feature film. He has also appeared in a number of magazines including OK magazine,Bliss,Pick me up,TV Hits,take a Break and Sugar to name a few.
He was lucky enough to be asked to be a body double for Harry Potter in “Order of the Phoenix” which was an amazing experience and also starred alongside Michael Sheen in a BBC2 period drama, he played the son of H G Wells and Michael Sheen played his father.
He has been a support act for a number of celebrities and had the chance to meet some well known names in his acting and music career.
He was a national karate champion at age 14 and won every southern region tournament he entered bar one.
