Does anyone know if Claritin is safe for diabetics?

I take zyrtec on a daily basis and it has never produced any side effects. They are both antihistamines. I don’t know why it wouldn’t be. Take it in the morning and follow your BG.

claritan D or anything with sudafed messes up your metabolism and my cause higher blood sugar.

It says on the package that “diabetics” are to consult a doctor before taking the medication. My pharmacist told me that that is most likely directed towards diabetics with complications of the liver, kidneys, lungs, or heart, and that the company is just pretty much covering their own a*s’s by puting that on the label. So if you are an otherwise healthy diabetic, it should not cause any adverse affects. I have taken it before and never noticed anything different as far as my diabetes goes.
