An intersting article written by a T1 who has participated in a research study that has extended her insulin production. The drug is called anti-CD3 monoclonal antibody, and the researchers are based at U of CA in San Francisco.

Thanks for the info, carb101. Very interesting read…and I feel more hopeful that there will be a cure someday not too far off in the future. I’m beyond the eligibility criteria for all the clinical trials, both in terms of time since diagnosis and my age, but I hope that once a cure is available there will be no such restrictions on who can get it.
