Cadvet… I will also add that I am still taking basal only!! Lots of hard work, though. Strict diet and lots of walking. I also use dexcom which really keeps me in line. I have read that some can honeymoon for a long time. My endo can’t believe it. Lol. Oh… I also take Metformin. I do have days where I think the honeymoon is over, but then things get better again.
I keep calling you cadvet instead of catvet!!! Sorry!!!
UPDATE: so I decided to go on insulin early. I just started Levimir. I am about 15 weeks pregnant. Last pregnancy I fought it mch longer with reduced carbs, 50g day and exercise after every meal. Knowing what I know now, I want tight control and I want to preserve my remaining beta cells.
My bg has just started to rise, 2 h post in the 130-170 range with a few in range and fasting 105-110. I think Levimir will actually control me for awhile but I asked for a Novolog pen so I can do 1/2 u doses at meals when needed.
I aim for very tight control because of being pregnant. 97 or under fasting and less than 120 at 2 hours.
Hi Catvet: Good for you for being proactive and going on insulin early. And congrats on the pregnancy!
