We are a TrialNet site for the Natural History of Diabetes study and I cannot encourage all of you to get your Type 1's relatives screened. We need data to better draw conclusions!
My son is 9 mos into his life with diabetes and has spent 5 of them in his first year of college, so my knowledge is far lower than most of the parents on this site. I do know that I'm learning. I'm going to ask for screenings for him not only for the antibodies, but for the other diseases as well.
