I’m wondering if anyone had ever try an hbA1C meter at home like the A1Cnow ?

Are you satisfied with the results’ accuracy ? Is the meter easy to use ? This meter isn’t available yet in Canada but I’m looking it for when it will be.
Thanks for sharing your experience !
here is one discussion on these meters

I seem to remember another discussion where a member compared different home a1c tests, but I can’t find it now
Thanks !
This dicussion seems to come up about once a month - started by me one time. They are good, acccurate, and easy to use, but do read through the instructions before you start. One piece isn’t supposed to come out of its wrapping until the last minute. We test my daughter monthly. Here in the US, the tests are about $15 each, so it’s worth it to check in on her numbers rather than waiting for the quarterly doctor.
I love mine. It seems to be fairly accurate, only being about .2 off from my doctor’s lab results. Simple to use too.
Thanks for your comments ! Unfortunatly, they aren’t yet available in Canada.
Can you mail order them or would they get stuck at the border?
I’m able to order them on eBay. I don’t think they’ll get stuck at the border but as Health Canada didn’t approve them yet, no one can sell them in Canada. But nothing prevents me from using them. But it is easiest if the product is available at my local Walmart.
Health Canada are not so fast to approve new products. I ask to Omnipod if their products are availabale in Canada but there aren’t yet.
Like if Canada is a third world country …
