Late night lows lead to my creative juices flowing! http://irunonbatteries.blogspot.com/2013/09/apple-my-pretty.html
You will not like it but I have to criticize you.
P1: You have no glucose tabs or skittles at your nightstand. Thus you had to wake up your partner to get something to eat. You must love to play russian roulette, right? What if you wake up with an inability to speak and your hand can just reach to your stand?
P2: You treat your low with an apple. But fructose is painfully slow to digest and not a good choice for lows. The process of digestion costs some energy thus you will go lower before the carbs hit your blood stream. So of course you craved for more - and finally you ate more than you have planned. The result was a high in the morning.
P3: With slow food your are bound to the 15 minute rule. With glucose tabs you would just eat just the tabs and are back to sleep in less than 10 minutes.
So I see much room for improvements here.
Thanks, I appreciate your input.
Just yesterday as I happened to write that remark I went to bed and realized 15 min later that my alarm was not set. Quite sleepy I turned on the light and TA-DA no glucose tabs on my nightstand! Ok, one was under the bed but this was not exactly what I had in mind with my "unbendable" rule.
