Okay so when its time for lunch or dinner I really don’t always feel like eating. I’ll check my sugars and they’ll be around the 5.2 mark… Is it okay for me to miss that meal because my sugars reasonable or do I have to eat ?
Any advice would be welcomed… Thank-you
I went to the ER after not eating and keeping food down from 7pm the night before - and couldn’t eat until surgery which was at 9 pm - after waking up and going through the recovery room it was 36 hours. I did not crash, I did just fine and am a pumper.
It is a personal choice if you wish to skip a meal. If your blood sugars are fine, I don’t think it would be a major detriment to skip a meal or delay it a few hours.
To be sure, always discuss your meal decisions with your medical care team.
My basal dose is where I can go without eating if I want too!
if gone a couple days with out eating a meal here and there and im on the pump, some days if my blood sugars are good i can go a couple of meals straight without eating. but i don’t skip every single day.
