Ascensia Diabetes Care has recently launched the Ascensia Diabetes Challenge, a global innovation competition designed to support companies who are developing the next big leap forward in diabetes self-management. Ascensia is seeking submissions for innovative digital solutions that can help to improve the lives of people with type 2 diabetes.
Ascensia has committed a total prize fund of 200,000 Euros. All entrants who reach the finalist stage are guaranteed a cash prize of 10,000 Euros and up to six finalists will be selected. Prizes for the runners-up and winner will be announced later. A judging panel of independent experts from diabetes and digital health, and members of the Ascensia Medical, R&D and Commercial teams will select the finalists, runners-up, and winner.
The competition will seek submissions from Europe, the Americas, and Asia Pacific, with entries for Europe now open and entries for Asia Pacific and the Americas opening on November 6, 2017. Submissions will close at the end of January 2018 and entries can be submitted at ascensiadiabeteschallenge.com.
