Association between hemoglobin and sugar intake

Has anyone ever noticed an association between reduced refined sugar (and to a lesser extent, general carbs) and an improvement in hemoglobin on your blood tests? Not hemoglobin A1C, but just hemoglobin. Thanks!

Various factors can interfere with the measure of hemoglobin, and it is theoretically possible that if your blood sugar was higher because of consuming refined sugar the increase of water in your blood to carry off the sugar via the kidneys could dilute the hemoglobin concentration.
