Megan— I just copy and paste your post including the mg/dl numbers that are used in the USA-- that way more people can give you comments!
“1) Should I be worried with a one hour postprandial reading of over 200? My doctor said I shouldn’t, but I felt like hell.
2) I feel bad whenever my BG goes over 140. Am I alone in this?
3) Does 70 count as hypoglycemia? My first dietitian and doc said anything under 70 was hypo, the second dietitian said 60-65 was normal and I shouldn’t worry about it.
4) What is a good average BG reading? According to Sugar Stats, my average daily BG is about 102 - although yesterday it was 118. I think this is too high. Am I wrong?
5) I hardly ever have readings lower than 100, unless they’re hypo. I would like to have lower readings, in the range of 80-90 more regularly. Am I expecting too much by wanting to get into this range?”
