Just curious. Does anyone find the insertion site of the sensor begins to bleed several days after insertion? This does not happen often, but happened this week again. Got me to thinking about why this would happen....
Thoughts?

I've had a little bleeding occasionally but I usually notice it right after insertion. I think, for me, it has to do with insertion technique. If I'm not paying enough attention to the angle of the sensor to my skin or if I push the inserter too slow instead of one quick smooth motion, that's when I tend to see blood.
The only thing I can think of is that maybe it's bleeding a little when you insert but you don't notice it until you get it wet in the shower and it spreads on the adhesive? Or maybe you've bumped it or the skin twisted during activity and caused the bleeding?
The first couple of times I saw blood, I pulled the sensor. It doesn't happen often, but I don't pull it anymore because it doesn't seem to affect the accuracy of my readings.
I have only noted sensor bleeding several days after insertion when they have been hit or disturbed. It could be due to immunolgical factors as having a foriegn object in your tissue and an open wound has to excite some type of immune response?
I have it happen occasionally, maybe the wire moves, gets disturbed. I also take a (81mg)aspirin and have a very, very low platelet count, it's not a consistent problem.
