I TD2 and I want to do some serious weightlifting and maybe some grappling. Can I do this effectively?
I took up weightlifting after being diagnosed. You certainly can do this, and while you won’t gain muscle like an Arnold, it does work. Many experts actually suggest that weightlifting is particularly good for T2 since added muscle improves your insulin sensitivity. There are some groups that have discussions on these topics, including Athletic Diabetics and on Powerlifting and Bodybuilding.
