Wow Kelly, I know this is an old thread but I am so glad that I just read it. I knew that you used the case from your pics of it, but Melissa doesn’t like the clip, so it was just put away. The skins for the Dex are much thinner than the Omnipod PDM, and she has been through 3 of them already. I am going to get Mark to cut the clip off so that she can use it even though she puts it in her pocket most times. She has been having static issues with the skins and being in her pocket and doesn’t like the idea of keeping a fabric softener sheet in her pocket. I don’t blame her!
Can you carry it in your purse out in public??
Mary, I thought I told you what my brother did but I guess not! Not having the clip does make it alot less bulky. I am still using my original case and I got my Dex about the same time Melissa did. I don’t blame Melissa for not wanting to carry the fabric softener sheet in her pocket either!
Yes, you can carry it in your purse. I don’t do it that often but have done it a few times and it works fine.
Thanks Kelly!
You can carry it in your purse but Melissa had a blood sugar of 30 go undetected a couple of weeks ago for about 2 hours because she didn’t hear the Dex going off in her backpack. I was with her the entire time and I also didn’t hear it, so that can be a problem. Since she doesn’t feel her lows, we decided that it was better for her to wear it out in public where it can be a bit noisy.
Or I guess you could also get it out and check it every 5-10 minutes.
Have you found/ made anything yet?
