I am not a pump user but I thought I would share the information for those who may not know…
In the current issue of Diabetes Forecast, there was a small segment on insurance not paying for a cgm device. Basically it says,
" if your insurer denies your request for a continuous glucose monitor, you have the right to file an appeal with the company. The American Diabetes Association's National Call Center offers a packet explaining the appeal process. To request one, call 1-800-Diabetes (1-800-342-2383)."
I don't know how helpful this will be for anybody using a pump but I thought it would be good information to pass on....
