CGM newbie - overpatch, Skin-Tac?

Me too! I sauna regularly, and I’ve found the patches from not just a patch work amazingly well. They’re super reliable, even with all the sweating, and they stay on strong for the full sensor life. Plus, they’re so easy to apply!

Welcome to the community @ellace! This thread having been revived after a couple of years, I’d add that I use HonYou overpatches, which I prefer to the Dex ones. They’re a bit larger and the adhesive seems to work better for me. A little more finicky to apply but there are Youtubes.

If you’re on a G6. Why would you want to spend the money on over patches. Dexcom will give you 10 at a time for free.

Thanks for sharing! I’ll check out HonYou—good to know they stick better

Um… They used to be super generous, but now not so much. Last time I had to call in for a replacement due to an early sensor fail, back in December, they told me they now only allow you 3 per year and I’d already used up two.

That’s. Free over patches. Not sensors themselves

Ah, sorry I misunderstood.

I’ve experienced edges peeling every now and then, and the Skin Tac somehow causes me minor irritation, nothing much but still annoying. I opted to use SkinGlu, which is gentler on my skin and use a patch from notjustapatch to secure it all. I’m an avid runner and the patches I use really do help keep my sensor in place.
