Change Health cyber attack, filling insulin prescription

Thanks everyone for weighing in. The home delivery pharmacy I use is AllianceRx which is a subsidiary of the retail Walgreens. It may have been a coincidence that last Thurs I received notice of “your order has shipped” and and when Walgreens claimed to have fixed the claims problem with Part B. But, we’re okay for now. We’ll see what happens in June.

I filled a prescription for Novolog back in October and was required to pay the $105 copay despite having a supplement (original Medicare and supplement). The claim was paid to Walgreens by Medicare and BCBS in 2023, well before the hack.

I have email correspondence from December between me and the store pharmacist and between me and Walgreens Customer Service. The store manager has called me. I’ve been told to wait, a check will be sent…

All this to say, maybe keep names and dates and put a sticker on your calendar.
