Changed my battery in my new pump

been on the medtronic pump for about two months now i think. and this is the first time i had to change my battery. i put in a fresh, brand new battery and it isnt turning on at all. is there something im suppose to do? i tried a few batteries and nothing is going on. when i had my animas pump it would just turn itself on. am i missing something?

This link may help:

Replace the battery. Occasionally new batteries are defective or damaged.

If you still do not see the HOME screen, call our

24-Hour HelpLine (1.800.646.4633, option 1) for assistance.

When you call, you will need to provide your pump’s serial number.

If they can’t help you, perhaps they can direct you to someone who can.

thanks…it turned out i had the battery in the wrong direction…oops…now i know what direction its suppose to be at

Good to hear that you figured it!

i was puttin the battery in the way you would for the animas pump lol…didnt realize that its different in a metronic

When I switched from Medtronic to animas it took me awhile to get used to the batteries going on opposite so as soon as I read your post I knew what was wrong! It is so nice with Medtronic not needing to reprime everything, though.

i was worried about that when i was switching the battery. once everything was working right i thought whew i dont have to rewind or anything. makes me feel a bit better
