Due to using 3ml of insulin per cart refil for my pump, i now have 7 near empty vials of insulin with ~1ml in each? Has anyone ever consolidated vials, ie taking the partials and filling once vial with it all? And how did you go about it.
I have done it all the time with vials. I always just take the last few drops out of the last vial, then spray it all into the new vial and get my needed dose. I know this does not follow standard protocol, but I hate wasting insulin. I have never had a problem and have done this for over 20 years.
I would only do this with your last vial or possibly two if your TDD is above average.
