Dexcom problems

I have the Seven and I am very frustrated with the unit I got in October. I saw that Dexcom has improved the functionality of the newer model. Saw the improved model at Diabetes Expo in Boston - the rep took my name to follow-up - and I have not heard a damn peep from Dexcom.

Is this company serious about wanting to be in business? I’ve had this issue in the past. IN matter of fact, I ordered the current CGMS through the RD who works this area.

I am thinking about upgrading - out of pocket for me because I now have crappy insurance. How does one get through to sales reps who never follow-up?

The upgrade is not available yet, so they will not be contacting anyone until the software that is used to upgrade the current system is approved. They have said in the next month the upgrade will be available and for the 199 you will get the new transmitter and software to upgrade the receiver you currently have.

If your rep stinks just call the 800 # on the site, they can help.

I wouldn’t expect to hear anything until the upgrade is available though.

The upgrade is available. See www.dexcom.com and it’s all over the place.I called today and it would cost me $519 out of pocket to upgrade. The Seven Plus system includes a software upgrade AND a new type of transmitter.
