Thanks for your perspective on the issue since you are able to come at it from both sides. I also think they are different and the way you described the differences was well written. I especially liked how you laid out why a disability is not limiting but just done in a different way. I think for people w/o disabilities…because we aren’t forced to think “outside the box/the normal structure of society” we automatically assume that doing things in a different way is a near insurmountable task (which is why praise for doing usual activities I think happens)~For me personally…there is a fine line between acknowledging the extra effort someone puts in (which I think can also apply to those with chronic illnesses) versus thinking that this extra effort is so much that one can’t do anything more and creating limits. ~sorry for the rambling
