I just relocated to Boston and started working at my new job with relative success. While new jobs take some transitioning, I’m just not ready to admit I have diabetes. As a type 1 diabetic, corporate lunches can be tough as lunches are often carb heavy. I’ve had a few lows but taken care of it quietly. Is there a good time to let your coworkers know or in today’s tough job market, is it best to keep your diabetes under wrap?
Hmmm. Good question. I haven’t told any co workers…yet. But that is probably different for each person on how they feel about sharing and finding the right situation to share it.
I must say though that the best time to share that fact about you is probably over a meal.
