I am toying with idea to move to Ireland in near future. Now question I have which supplies are covered and which are available. Do I need to have specific insurance, which would cover stuff, or is most of stuff covered with standard insurance (is there standard insurance).
I am interested if this material is available and if its covered:
Insulin (Apidra)
BG Test Strips
CGMS - Dexcom G4 (I am sure that you must pay for this yourself, since I do it like that here where I live (Austria), question is if you can get supplies)
Pump - Animas. How hard is to get a pump in Ireland? Do you need to pay for it yourself?
I must confess that I don’t have an idea how medical insurance in Ireland works. Few words about that would be very welcome…
