Diabetes Food Pyramid

I was wondering what does everyone think about this diabetes food pyramid is it accurate? Has anyone ever used something like this. this is the first time I’ve seen one. Does anyone have any opinions on it?

If you want to GET diabetes or make it worse, that pyramid is the way to go.

If you want to control your blood sugars, you almost have to turn it upside down.

Fats and proteins, yes. Carbs, no. The fewer grams of carbs you eat, the safer fat is. Heart disease is NOT caused by eating fat, as proven clearly in Gary Taubes’ book, “Good Calories, Bad Calories.”

Carbs are what raise blood sugar, high blood sugars give you heart disease.

Thank you for your comment I think the pyramid I posted is supposed to show people what not to eat to avoid getting diabetes at least I hope that’s what the purpose of it is :slight_smile: thanks again for the comment it very helpful although I have any family member with diabetes I know very little about the condition that’s why I’m here.
