I just don’t know enough whether you have an algorithm for taking insulin, whether your doctor has prescribed a 1unit per so many carb grams, whether or not you are familiar with the counting carbs system. If you could tell me what stage you’re in in learning, I can guide you through it. But I’m not comfortable telling you either of the two ways to do it in the absence of knowing your familiarity with these. Feel free to expand on what you take, on number units per grams of carb, or per meal, what you’re taking for basal, and what diet you’re doing.
