Hi,
I have two kids with Type 1 diabetes and I am really burned out. Does anyone else feel really overwhelmed with so much diabetes on the brain constantly?

and come here anytime, it must be so hard
I am always amazed by people with kids with diabetes. I was 16 @ DXed and, despite occasional blunders, able to perceive and communicate when I was getting fried and sort of didn't worry about it, just got into a routine of test and eat test and eat, etc. that lasted a while.
Hi,
We are a diabetes family. I (mom) have type2, 10yo daughter has type1, 10yo son (twin of daughter) is borderline type2, and almost 3yo is borderline something....we don't know yet.
I had a thought pop into my head the other day.....I was driving in my car and just thought, "I am drowning in diabetes". Joking with my friends I say I should just move my bed into the kitchen....because with this disease I feel like I am there 24x7.
Here is the good news for us and for all the work we put into this: We all have A1Cs in the 5% range consistently, even my daughter with Type 1.
We are 1.5 years in and I feel like the cooking is now becoming routine. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Working hard and changing eating habits is worth its weight in gold!
