The last few months, my pharmacy keeps changing the manufacturer of many of my generic meds. One month, a specific generic pill, is pink in color, oblong shape. The next month, the generic pill for the same brand med, is peach in color and round in shape. (Different manufacturer)
I know every med I take, why I take it, etc. I also knew what it looked like. Now, with the appearance changing from month to month, depending upon the supplier the pharmacy has used that month, I have to make mental note of the change.
Anyone else experiencing this with their generic drugs?
If generics are suppose to be “essentially the same as the brand name”, why is the generic sometimes twice the size of the original brand name drug first developed whose patent expired? What else are they adding to the drug to make it twice the size?
