Hmmmmm. not to many enthusiastic people here. This could very well be a huge breakthrough people.
This is INGAP.
I’ve been hearing about this for almost a decade. It’s always being talked about as a cure, but so far it never gets anywhere.
Sounds good to me I filled out their trials sheets.
Well, since this is primarily beta cell regenerating technology, it needs to work with an immunomodulator to be even remotely effective. There are some very intelligent people behind this drug and I hope it comes to fruition now that the trial is going to be in combination with an immunomudulator (such as Diamyd, Lisofylline, Diapep, TolerX, etc)
Jenny, you are correct but apparently they have tweaked it to some extent over the last few years and are using it in combination with another drug. They “Exsulin” are expecting the outcome of at least insulin reduction and much better overall control with still the possibility (hopefully) Insulin elimination. Of course they don’t know how long it will work for so it may be something that would have to be done somewhat often but still nowhere near 4-6 shots a day. If for some reason it doesn’t pan out we still have LCT as a possible future alternative.
Anthony,
Good for you. Good luck getting chosen. Keep us posted!
