Eliptical vs. Running (jogging)

I have been using the eliptical machine at the gym for the past year and have enjoyed it. My bs starts off at 150-160 and in 45 - 60 minutes it drops to 70 which is good.

For the past few days I have been starting at 150 bs and at the end of my walk / jog my bs is over 200.

Exercise is exercise right? Do others have that happen? Is it just a freaky coincedence that my bs goes up after a run and not after the eliptical?

Don't know that I'd agree that exercise is exercise. Are you monitoring heart rate at all (you might see a difference in "exercise" if so). Are any of the variables in your exercise different (time of day, level of intensity, what you eat before, timing of insulin, etc.)? Wondering by looking at your note if you're going a full hour on the elliptical (continuous motion at a certain level of intensity) vs. what you're doing now with run/walk (which may be a lower/different level)? Hope this makes some sense.

IMVic,
I do not have a heart rate monitor...yet. I just use the one on the machine which I dont really trust. Everything is the same...time of day, intensity, eating. I go for as long as I have time. Sometimes 45 min sometimes I have an hour to spend.
Hmmmm...the eliptical machine is at a much faster/harder intensity than the treadmill. I will have to write everything down and keep better track Thanks for the help.
