Endo Appointment Today---Thoughts?

maybe you can try turning off basal for those hours and turn it on for dp?

i get the ocd- I have been that way a lot since dka and worrying I would never not correct at 160... I think calming down will help stabilize you to maybe? maybe some tranquilizers too...

10 is pretty bad... my lowest I tested for was 28 I think.. but some I just treated and didn't test... if I feel I'm dropping fast at all I just treat it right away now so I don't go too low.. I figure I can always lower it later..

I agree it is so difficult to figure out what is going on really for sure.. there is so much involved... hope you get this worked out and get to a more relaxed state of mind...could it be gp?

one thing I do is take little snacks at the times I tend to go low... nuts, cheese etc. I figure if I go high for the next meal I will correct it with bolus.

I really want to thank everyone for their help. It is hard for me to ease up--I have been on the tightwire for the last 15 years and it is time to get off. Your advice, encouragement, suggestions and ideas really help me not feel so alone in all this. Thanks!

SOOOO.....Went to bed at 132; woke up at 193.

I started charting again--I really do feel like it helps and the benefit is worth the time. I am going to look at the things AR suggested today.

Going to go with my current set up for a while and see how it goes. THANKS AGAIN!!!

Another thing that occurred to me about this is that if the lowest hourly rate seems to be too much insulin, you could program it on and off, an hour at a time or whatever? It would be sort of a chore to put in and to take out if it doesn't work but it might be a way to take less smoothly. Good luck with your challenge here!

agree. my endo checked my AlC with an in-office finger stick test/gizmo thingy, it was 6.0% which made on sense to me. Had blood drawn and tested my A1C and it was 6.5%.
