My Insulin Pump went out of warranty yesterday and today MM is starting the process for an upgrade. So, can I expect this round to get a pump easier than it was for my first pump? Do I have to qualify all over again? Do I need to go through classes again? Sorry for all the questions?
I actually just upgraded last week from the 722 to the Revel. It took a week to get the doctors script and insurance to approve but I got it the same week. I did have to submit 30 days of bloodsugars to my insurance company but I was able to send it from my CGM records so it wans’t a big deal. I started the process on Monday and had my new pump by Friday. Good Luck.

How did you send your bg’s with your cgm?
I uploaded and went to the logbook and selected 30 days on the calender part and it gives you an option to email report and the MM contact had given me her emial address. I think that helped speed up the process bc it literally took 2 seconds and she sent it to my inusrance comp;any right away.

I like the pump and CGM reports a lot. They seem to be pretty useful! Re the process, my in-warranty pump blew up over the Summer but it was on the Saturday of July 4 weekend so when I called I was like “I’d buy a new one if you can get it here and just figure it out” but the “emergency duty” rep was like "they’re not in until Tuesday so I punted and decided to just get a new old pump on Tuesday instead of screwing around waiting.
Ok, thanks for the info!
Woo hoo…I just got a call from MM and all I’ll need to pay for my new pump is $192.00!!! I had to ask him again to repeat the cost…haha!
Now I have another question…he said it was my choice if I wanted a Rep to train me or go to the online school. Naturally, I chose the online school for convenience. BUT, it only has the old pumps to choose from…no revel. Does anyone know what’s up with that?
BTW…congradulations acidrock23 on your winning!
I did not get extra training but I went onto my learning and they must know when you upgraded bc they offered a class on advance features of revel which I took. I am in constant contact with a mm rep who is in my doctor’s office every week and we are in constant contact bc she is helping me with my control and I called her to ask what to set a few settings on but that was it. I am still learning all of the new stuff but it comes with a very detailed manual as well.

I just found out that my Rep quit this week. We didn’t keep in contact much but, I liked him. He was also a Type I on a pump so, it’s like the old saying it takes one to know one.
You mentioned that you emailed your bgs. I uploaded my CGM and I don’t see any option showing that I can email the results.
Mine is also a type 1. She retrained me on the sensor bc the first time I tried it I hated it and she was able to show me a different way to wear it and better tape so the things they drove me crazy were eliminated. I asked her flat out if I could use her as a resource. Every time I go to the endo I schedule it on a day i can see her too to check in. She is a wiz at looking at those carelink reports and seeing what to change.
In careline once you have generated a report and it opens at the top is an option of saving a copy or emial and once you hit email you can forward it on and it attaches itself.

I’m wondering if I have an old version or something because I can’t find anything allowing me to email it. Maybe, I’m overlooking it? I’ll try again.
