Well, you can not worry about it, but you know that is outside the range of a non-diabetic. You worry your heart out about your child. Think about how your parents would feel if you did not take care of yourself. I’m just sayin.

I am down to 105 right now. Just finished coffee less than an hour ago. That’s good right???

Sounds like a good day to me.
My CDE always says that “it could be the moon for all we know” when I have crazy days (too high or too low)
Sometimes it just happens…

Glad to hear your son will be trying out the OmniPod…It has made a world of difference for me.

A teaspoon of sugar has 4g carbs. If you had three teaspoons in each of your two cups of coffee, that is a total of about 25 g carbs. You rose 47 mg/dl with 25 g of carbs. An oral glucose tolerance test uses 75g of carb. Think about it.

A 105 an hour later is fine. Usually, sugar will cause a blood sugar peak in 15-30 minutes. It may also be that you did not fully wash your hands and residual sugar can contaminate readings. I would just keep an eye on it.
