Do you remember what your GAD65 reading was when you were diagnosed?
What’s a GAD65?
My understanding is that the number itself isn’t significant, just the presence or absence of the antibody. (It is one of the diabetes antibodies, barb, the one that LADAs have. it is how we get a differential diagnosis between Type 2 and LADA (in addition to c-peptide)
I had mine done 2 weeks ago…and it was HIGH at 84.5 with a reference of 0.0-1.0 as normal…
