GADA testing for pump?

Just got back from Diabetes America, they took GADA bloodwork, including c-peptide and fasting for approval of the pump. I've done some research regarding GADA bloodwork, and from what I can tell it is the bloodwork to determine if I'm type 1.5 or 2. 4 tubes of blood later, I was on my way.

I'm starting to get nervous about approval. They certainly do not make this easy!

I talked to the Animas rep, and the lady that's suppose to contact me is out of the office until Monday. So the wait continues.

i went through the same thing 14 years ago
after having t1 since 1936 now 77 + years
they were not even born yet

I just want to remind you that you may not have a positive GADA and be diagnosed as a T1. Be mentally prepared. And remind yourself that everyone has a right to appropriate treatment for their diabetes. You can still get a pump as a T2, you may just have to fight more for it. But you can do that.

Thank you :)
