Gah! Bricked my Dexcom receiver with upgrade

I am unusual in that I actually like my Dinky G6 receiver mostly because my work cellphone has all apps banned.

For weeks Dexcom Clarity had been nagging me to upgrade the firmware on my G6 receiver every time I did an upload.

My transmitter had just gone over 100 days and expired so this morning I let Clarity upgrade my receiver.

And now while it has the menus etc for setting up a new pairing, it won’t actually pair.

I dug out an old Android tablet and got my new sensor and transmitter all paired with XDrip+.

Ug. Frustrating.

UPDATE: I let my “upgraded” Dexcom Receiver battery run down to the point where it turned itself off. (There was no way to turn it off, it was stuck in the “first ever pairing menu” with no escape.)

Then I plugged the receiver back to charge, put in the transmitter serial number (which had been working with my old Android and XDrip the past three days justfine) and VOILA my receiver is working again!
