Got Tight

Type 1 for 30 years. No serious problems other than some numbness in my right leg near my knee and ED from time to time.

Last A1C 6.6 and I have an average of 6.8. I am a general aviation pilot that gets a Class III Medical from the FAA and i have for the last 13 years.

I have been on a pump for a very long time w/Humalog and getting ready to get new one. I think I get the Medtronic 722 with the CGM deal.

I am starting to test every two hours and correct or any BG above 140. I keep food with me all the time to counter the lows. I wil see if I can lower the A1C to 5.5 doing this.

Does anyone have experience with the 722 and the CGM?

I do, and my advice - avoid it like the plague!

You don’t need to get them together. Get only the 722 pump. Then, try out the other CGMs like the Dexcom 7+ (my CGM) or the Abbott Navigator (the other favored CGM). If you don’t like either of those, then you can try the MM CGM.

Remember, you can try the CGMs for a month and if you are not happy with them, you can return them and get a refund.
