For those of you who didn’t know, Adam is one of us. A Type 1 diabetic who instantly mesmerized me when I watched him play college basketball for Gonzaga. He was a scoring machine (#1 scorer in the nation!!), and just a general badass.
Michael Jordan drafted him 3rd overall a few years back for the Charlotte Bobcats, but a devastating injury kept him for reaching his potential. Now as a member of the Lakers (the greatest professional sports team of all time…ahem) I couldn’t be more thrilled. Lets cheer him on as he proves that diabetes can’t stop him from becoming a world champion.
