We are both fighting off colds so we didn’t stay up to watch it, but I am reliably informed that this year’s celebration in Times Square was way below par and really not very good. Apparently someone dropped the ball.

Happy New Year, Everybody! They did indeed drop the ball! The celebration in1960 was smaller, the year my husband and I saw it happen in person. It was cold then, arctic this year. I was happy to watch it on TV in 2018 in a warm house with a bottle of Champagne.
