Joe,
You are barking up the wrong tree!!! Get off of tudiabetes.com
We Type I diabetics have this disease because of an auto-immune attack (mistaken identity attack in which the T cells attacked a GOOD thing - the beta cells of our pancreases.) We got no symptoms until all of the beta cells died off, and now we must take insulin. Without injections of insulin, we would be DEAD.
Please remove yourself from tudiabetes.com
You are hindering us, rather than helping us!
Its a real simple concept heart rate goes up calories go out body becomes efficient. No one on here can stop taking insulin which by the way there is a shortage of but you better start doing everything possible to slow the disease that includes exercise (like Yoga) Stop sitting around hoping and go the extra effort. I will become type 1 in January because the progression is not slowing but I am not going to sit around waiting for it to get worse. I am going to get up and exercise cause that slows the progression of the disease and also helps prevent the complications that go along with the disease .
BY THE WAY BECAUSE I GET OFF HERE SOME TIMES I AM ABLE TO GO TO THE GYM CAUSE I DONT QUIT
Once again, you don’t have your facts straight. Once again, stating erroneous information isn’t helpful.
Increased heart rate doesn’t cause “calories to go out” of the body.
People don’t progress from Type 2 to Type 1. Type 1 is an autoimmune disease. Stating you’ll be a Type 1 in Jan, no less, is an absurd statement.
Everyone knows that exercise is important.
You cannot become type 1 from type 2, Joe. It is an autoimmune disease that has a completely different origination than type 2. You can become a type 2 who uses insulin, which is not the same thing.
And there is not a “shortage” of insulin. That’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard. Don’t you understand how recombinant DNA technology works?
As we CONTINUE to reiterate, no one here is “sitting around” doing nothing about their diabetes. My A1c is significantly lower than yours and yet you continue to point your finger at me and Gerri and others who are in great control and tell us we’re not working out enough. What do you know of our exercise regimens???
Joe,
Please go learn something from the folks who actually know what is going on.
You will “become” T1 in January? That is an absurd statement. You are either T1 or T2, you may have been misdiagnosed but saying that your “type” is going to change at a certain time is just ludicrous.
There is no insulin shortage.
Insulin immersion sounds like sitting in a tub full of insulin. Wow, that would stink!
