Blackmajik, since no one has ever been cured of diabetes yet, and many of us here have Type 1 diabetes (which is an autoimmune disease with no cure), it’s reasonable for people to comment that their diabetes will not go away. Type 2s can often CONTROL their diabetes with diet alone, but there are many different types of diabetes that are represented here in our community: 1, 2, 1.5 (LADA), MODY, and forms that are the result of other conditions. We wish you the best of luck with your control, but please be considerate of those of us who do not have the hope of “reversing” our condition.
