Actually digestive problems are common with diabetes and are seen as an early symptom according to Bernstein. Gastroparesis is the severe form of this and is essentially paralysis of the stomach emptying process. In a normal person it takes 6-8 hours to digest a meal. But pizza can be different, it is a high fat meal, high fiber and often a large volume. So your stomach releases small bits of the meal over time to digest it efficiently. It may have to be digested over an even longer period of time. Even people without gatroparesis can suffer bouts of delayed stomach emptying with meals like pizza. If you think back, I bet you can remember eating meals where this occurred and you have a bloated feeling for hours and hours.
Thanks for answering so quickly. My question is still if this is actually possible when your stomach works at a 100%. And for how many hours can a pizza take before fully digested? In a 100% healthy person with no stomach iussues. I´m just curious.
the 30 to 40 min is optimal cos the injectabales peak then? thats why Afrezza is timed best after 10 to 15 min of starting on meal and injectables before 30 to 40 min.+ 10 min .for a total 50 min ( guess whats easy?)
