what’s the best way to come off a high when you use shots? I take humalog and lantus. What does a pumper do?
I am a pumper and I give a correction dose of fast acting insulin from my pump. This fixes the issue 99% of the time. If my sugar doesn’t come down then I will take a shot using my good old sliding scale and change my infusion set. Since I am not on long lasting insulin, I do not have to worry about taking the fast acting and then going low because the long lasting finally kicks in. I had a hard time with that when I was still on shots.
